DuaLipa and Miguel’s Stunts in “Lost in Your Light” Have Them Flying!
Flying was once impossible. But thanks to the stunts coordinators like T.J. White these days who are making it possible for the artists to fly around, all the while making the viewer’s experience something new.
Hollywood is an industry that has spectacular potential to create movies and music videos that are a feast for the eyes. What makes all the content so visually appealing is the way the director, Henry Scholfield makes use of the science and technology. From Gravity to Mad Max Fury Road, and beyond, nearly every movie has some action scenes that, without the use of the two magic wands, wouldn’t have been possible in the real life.
Although there are green screens and computer graphics that can be used to create stunning impossible visuals, what makes the artists fly around are the stunt coordinators.
These people have immense experience and talent to make an action scene possible in the spheres of the director and the producer of the venture. Just like any other music video that can tingle your nerves with innovation, the director of “Lost in Your Light” has indeed made sure that the theme was as suited to the feel of the song as possible.
Let’s quickly break down the stunt aspects of the video which we helped shape into the form you see therein.
First: The Moves of DuaLipa
Beginning singing at an early age of 14, this multi-talented artist has made waves in the music industry with her floating around this time also. Just as she starts singing “Lost in your light, baby”, she gets weightless and the gravity gives her away to the thin air.
“But, how is that possible in real life?” you might ask.
Well, when you have our stunt coordinators, anything is possible.
This isn’t the one moment that DuaLipa soars high in the sky; she is seen getting lost in the air as she starts singing that chorus.
Second: Let’s Talk About Miguel
Miguel has added his bit to this song both audibly and visually. He is seen floating alongside DuaLipa when they both take on the chorus.
But do you know that this artist flew around by using his flight talents?
Of course, we are just messing around. He too was wired to the frames we had set up during the shooting of the music video.
What Did We Do?
That was about the artists and their ascent against gravity. What we did was add the security layers for the artists to perform the stunts, and also provide the right safety gear for it. We let Dua and Miguel perform their songs while making all the necessary arrangements for it including the supervision. The coordination of our technical and stunt rigging staff made it possible
For the artists to experience something new,
For the director to bring out the nature of the song,
For the producer to end the project in the budget allocated, and
For the viewers to see extraordinary stunts.
How Do We Do Projects Like These?
We have a team of professional stunt coordinators and stunt riggers who have been in this business for many years.
The Stunt Coordinators
You must have heard about T.J White. He is the leading coordinator that Hollywood has. With his, and other coordinators’ experience, we have been able to create, design, direct, and produce action sequences that are unique, thrilling, and encouraging.
The Stunt Riggers
Our stunt riggers know how to keep all those involved in the stunt alive and safe. Of course, the whole idea of the stunt diminishes when there is any safety lapse. For this to not happen when we are around, we have all the necessary contraptions and wire-works that you can rely on.
Around the world, many film industries are still struggling to keep their stuntmen and artists safe; however, not Hollywood.
Because it has people like T.J. White, and firms like Hollywood Stunt Coordinator (a division of T-Minus Productions), there is no way that the stunts be produced in a life-threatening environment.
